About Us

Michael Larsen, Elizabeth Pomada, Laurie McLean and Lindsey Clemons are the literary agents at Larsen-Pomada Literary Agents. Working in a beautiful Edwardian 'Painted Lady' atop San Francisco's famous Nob Hill, we are committed to helping writers become authors (and hopefully, best-sellers!)

Michael handles non-fiction. Elizabeth represents commercial fiction, literary fiction, women's fiction, romance, mysteries and narrative non-fiction (memoir). Laurie handles adult genre fiction (romance, fantasy, science fiction, horror, westerns, mysteries, thrillers, suspense, etc.) and children's middle grade and young adult books. Lindsey represents adult thrillers, mysteries and literary fiction.

We respond to all our email, but because of AOL's spam filters, Michael and Elizabeth may not receive all of it at larsenpoma@aol.com, and not all of their responses go through. If you write and receive no response from them after 8 weeks, please send your query or partial submission by standard mail to 1029 Jones Street, San Francisco, CA 94109. Laurie's email address is non-AOL: laurie@agentsavant.com, and she prefers her submissions via email. Her response time is anywhere from 1 day to 4 weeks. Lindsey also prefers emailed submissions sent to lindsey.reads.books@gmail.com. Her response time is 4-6 weeks.

While we all accept query letters via e-mail--in the body text of the email, not as attachments--please use conventional mail for all non-fiction book proposals and full manuscripts.

For emailed non-fiction proposals, just send the title, subtitle and promotion plan as an email letter with NO attachments.

Elizabeth will accept email queries from abroad. Send the first 10 pp. plus a 2 pp. synopsis, double-spaced and in 14-point type, as an email letter with NO attachments. Please tell her where you are located. For hard copy queries she will respond to the "first 10 pp" query within 6-8 weeks using the author's SASE. If she asks for a complete book on an exclusive basis, she will respond within 4 weeks of receipt.
